Yes!  The Rantcor Pit returns at last!

With just about a month having passed since the debut of "Rogue One', your favorite Star Wars guys have decided to explore the individual characters of one of their favorite Star Wars movies!  With so many new, and a few returning, characters from which to choose they could not cover just everybody, but do pay tribue to almost everyone of note.  From the Rogue One team to the various factions of the Empire to a few ancillary characters that just had to be discussed, this episode had plenty of character(s)!

The Rantcor Pit is back, if a couple of days late.  Still, it is out in time to predate the next episode of The Rantcor Pit Live, so that is something in its own right1

This time Your Favorite Star Wars Guys are talking about a legend in collecting circles, author and former LucasFilm Fan Liason, Steven Sansweet.  As a Guiness Book World Record-holder for being the fan with the biggest Star Wars collection, Sansweet has made a mark on the fan and collecting community.  He has written extensively on Star Wars and its collectibles, worked directly with LucasFilm to keep the communication between the studio and the fan base flowing for years in the past and established Rancho Obi-Wan as a showcase that can be toured by fans and collectors.

In addtion to the uber-collector, collecting Star Wars in general is discussed and Eddie gets something out of his system in advance of the live show's upcoming Christmas Wishlist episode.

The Rantcor Pit #56 - Malice in the Palace

No, it's not the popular Three Stooges two-reeler from the 40s!  It's The Rantcor Pit's tribute to Jabba's Palace, specifically the couriers that peopled one of the most memorable set pieces of the Star Wars saga to date.

Cole Houston and Eddie Medina delve deeply into that other wretched hive of the Original Trilogy.  From the most memorable characters to favorite Star Wars action figures, this episode has everything for those of us who are nutts for Hutts!

Cole Houston and Eddie Medina discuss a favorite character of so many Star Wars fans, that most famous of bounty hunters, Boba Fett!  From the earliest public appearance to the Holiday Special to The Empire Strikes Back to a shopping mall near you!  The man who turned out to be a clone of a dead bounty hunter of the tail end of the Old Republic certainly made an impact on star Wars fandom more profound than that which dented his Mandalorian helmet!

The Rantcor Pit #53 - Men in Masks

The Rantcor Pit is back and after a rousing episode of the live show on Sunday, August 21, 2016, there was still so much to tell about Infinicon 2016 and especially the Star Wars guests that the conversation continues here.

Cole Houston and Eddie Medina share their experiences with actor Gerald Home (Tessek or "Squid-Head" of Jabba's Palace and a Mon Calamari Officer)) and stunt man Dickey Beer (Barada, Boba Fett, Stormtrooper, Weequay, etc.) at Infinicon, Texas' newest pop culture convention.  From behind the scenes tales of Return of the Jedi to other fascinating stories of film and television in the US and abroad, there was so much to share even this episode does not cover it all!

The Rantcor Pit #52 - Later, Vader

The circle is now complete.  When JediCole first entered podcasting it was on VaderCast.  Now he returns to "The Dark Side of Podcasting" with an episode all about that show's namesake.

Cole and Eddie Medina are joined this outing by returning guest David Bunds to talk all about the Dark Lord of the Sith himself.  Certainly one of the most striking villains in cinematic history, Darth Vader remains an icon to this day.  This episode is a follow up to the Anakin Skywalker episode of The Rantcor Pit Live, at least from a certain point of view.

The Rantcor Pit #50 - The First Time Ever I Saw Star Wars

As Star Wars fans we all started somewhere.

From the big screen in 1977 to VHS tapes or DVDs.  Everyone got into the Saga at a different jumping off point.  

 

With that in mind, Rantcor host Cole "JediCole" Houston sought out a variety of individuals to share their own personal experience with discovering that Galaxy Far, Far Away.  Various age groups and diverse first time experiences are explored with podcasters and non-podcasters alike.
