Welcome to an extra-large issue of Hey Kids, Comics! with a wonderfully different twist. 

Hosts Andrew Farmer and Cole Houston, along with special guest Eddie Medina (The Rantcor Pit) as they discuss the best and worst experiences crossing paths with comic book royalty.  From Stan Lee to George Perez to Michael Turner to Jack Kirby (sort of), there was a whole lot to share.

The Rantcor Pit #53 - Men in Masks

The Rantcor Pit is back and after a rousing episode of the live show on Sunday, August 21, 2016, there was still so much to tell about Infinicon 2016 and especially the Star Wars guests that the conversation continues here.

Andrew Farmer and Cole Houston take a look into the scarred physical and mental dichotomy that is embodied in one of the most intractable of Batman's core adversaries.  Steven McCauley joins the discussion as a long look into the relationship of Batman and his top five foes continues.

With a resonant quack and a trademark waddle, the Penguin became an iconic Batman villain, if a rather comical, satirical one at that.  Yet over the many decades of this feathered felon's career, Oswald Cobblepot has become one of the most important members of Batman's rogue's gallery.

Andrew Farmer and Cole Houston continue their exploration of Batman's core adversaries and how they reflect aspects of his own personality and alter-ego.  This week they are joined by Penguin fan and co-host of The Rantcor Pit and The Rantcor Pit Live, Eddie Medina.

Wine is consumed, a villain's motivations and history are explored, and the show goes off the rails often enough to punctuate the odd tale of an odd old bird of Gotham City.

Hey Kids, Comics! #190 - Rouge-ish I's: Riddled Through and Through

As the champion of Gotham City, Batman faces a bewildering rogue's gallery of adversaries.  Some present physical challenges, others philosophical, and still others intellectual.  "Rouge-ish I's" seeks to explore these challenges as represented by the villains taken on by the Dark Knight Detective.

While often one of the more underrated and ignored villains, the Riddler has proven in recent years to occupy a vital niche in the Batman mythos.  Hosts Andrew Farmer and Cole Houston discuss and examine Batman's most enigmatic of foes along with Riddler aficionado, Josh Watson.

The Rantcor Pit #52 - Later, Vader

The circle is now complete.  When JediCole first entered podcasting it was on VaderCast.  Now he returns to "The Dark Side of Podcasting" with an episode all about that show's namesake.

Cole and Eddie Medina are joined this outing by returning guest David Bunds to talk all about the Dark Lord of the Sith himself.  Certainly one of the most striking villains in cinematic history, Darth Vader remains an icon to this day.  This episode is a follow up to the Anakin Skywalker episode of The Rantcor Pit Live, at least from a certain point of view.

A Presidential election year in the United States brings forth the party divide, mudslinging, rhetoric, and a whole lot of flag waving.  And this year it brings forth a discussion on politicians, real and fictional, in comics!

Hosts Andrew Farmer (MC)* of Ohio and Cole Houston (DC)* of Texas debate explore the world of politics in comics.  From Presidents to Mayors to even a certain District Attorney, many are the politicos who have made their mark.

HKC! SDCC 2016 Special

Welcome comic fans!  Yet again this year, only after the fact, Andrew Farmer and Cole Houston vent their considerable wrath on San Diego Comic Con!

Really it is just about bitching about the all-too-common exclusive collectibles that they will miss out on or overpay to own.  That and the long lines for those attending.  None the less, there are still some positive notes...
