It's time for another great issue of Hey Kids, Comics! and it's time to quit!

Well, not really quit from the standpoint of the show but more the topic.  Your hosts Andrew Farmer and Cole Houston tackle the all-too-common phenomenon of super-quitting.  That is to say super-heroes quitting a team, quitting an identity, or just quitting the business outright.

Nearly every major super-hero has jumped on this bandwagon at some point or another.  Their reasons are as varied as the characters themselves.  And the top heroes even reserve the right, it seems, to quit multiple times for every reason in the catalog!  What is the dynamic of such departures.  Why do they never seem to last?

But thankfully not the end of Hey Kids, Comics!

After a week off Andrew Farmer and Cole Houston are back at it with a lively exploration of another facet of comics.  In this case it is that old chestnut, the end of everything! 

How often has Armageddon loomed large, has Ragnarok come a callin', has oblivion been the order of the day?  Fairly often in the 100 plus years that comics have been a part of the literary scene.  Far too often, really.  But that is the sort of thing that makes ideal grist for the mill that is this show and the discussions of two fans who can't get enough of analyzing comics!

Meow!  Hey Kids, Comics! has gone to the cats!

Yes, they know it is "gone to the dogs", but in this case it is all about the cats!  From feline femme fatales to the most catlike characters in comics, there is something about cats that makes them a popular theme for hero and villain alike.

While both male and female characters have taken on the feline persona, it is most commonly associated with women.  Andrew Farmer and Cole Houston explore this and many other aspects of the cat as the template for super heroes and villains on the latest episode.

Do It Yourself 6: The Dark Knight Rises

The Vegabomber and Joose are back again with yet another look at a favorite film and how they would have made it just that much better.

This time they set their sights on Kevin Nolan's conclusion of his take on the mythos of Batman, "The Dark Knight Rises".  Can even the presnce of Catwoman and Bane save this fan favorite?  Well, if they can't help, then your "Do It Yourself" hosts sure can!

Andrew Farmer and Cole Houston really wing it this week with a flighty issue of Hey Kids, Comics! that flies over the cuckoo's nest!  

Birds are the subject of discussion.  Not literally, but figuratively.  Comic characters with bird wings, those who take on the mantle of a bird, and those who's name invokes a bird are on fair game.  Why do birds resonate so strongly with us as a culture that they inspire and inform so much of our popular culture, especially comics?  Well your hosts have some thoughts on this, even if some are a bit bird-brained!
