Continuity can get pretty derailed in the long run when everything that has come before is ignored in favor of pursuing some completely out of sync with the past. And even in the short term it is an easy trap for comic creators to fall into by simply retrofitting anything they need into the story at hand.Andrew and Cole delve deeper into continuity in comics as a suggestion more than a rule as "Continuity is Not Absolute" continues.

That is to say, continuity in comics such as there IS continuity in comics. Despite decades of history and the a team of editors at the reigns, the past in comic books is something that can become nonexistent at a moments notice. In this new arc, "Continuity is Not Absolute", Andy and Cole explore the up and many down sides of retcons and other tweaks to the histories of the comics we love.
