Hey Kids, Comics! #200 - Tales from the Tanzanite Age

Welcome to a milestone issue of Hey Kids, Comics!, the two-hundredth episode!

Yes, it's true!  Andrew Farmer and Cole Houston have produced 200 episodes of the JCU's flagship podcast!  To celebrate the occasion they delve deep into the dawning of the Tanzanite Age of Comic Book movies.  Super-hero cinema has evolved over the last 30 years and seen its various ages.  The multiple golden ages have now given way to an age that was declared exclusively on this show and has now been made official!

Hey Kids, Coimcs! #198 - Get Off of My Page!

Welcome to a new issue of HKC! that picks up where a previous issue (#195 - Never Meet Your Heroes).

The intended purpose of that issue was two fold.  One was to share the experiences of hosts Andrew Farmer and Cole Houston, as well as their guest Eddie Medina on the subject of meeting comic creators of some note in person.  The other was to talk about the appearances of comic creators in their own books.  The latter never occurred, so that is being rectified here.

From Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's insertion of themselves into the pages of the Fantastic Four to the whole blamed Marvel Bullpen horning itself into the action over the years, there was a lot of ground to cover.  The episode goes off the rails at intervals, yet still focuses well on the business at hand.  Take a look at the times when comic writers and artists put themselves into the action and learn about the biggest culprit since the aforementioned Lee and Kirby!
